Dear Parents:
We are beginning a basketball league at Shattuck next winter for 1st-6th grade boys and girls. The boys will begin November 1, 2014 and play every other weekend for 6 weekends. The girls will begin October 25, 2014 and play every other weekend for 6 weekends. Each team will have 2 games on the Saturdays that they are scheduled to play. When we make out our schedule, we will schedule your games close together. We will not take up your whole day! At the conclusion of the league, we will have a girls and a boys tournament. We will give awards to the champion and runner-up.
The 1st and 2nd graders will play half court with a junior ball. The 3rd-6th graders will play full court with a girls’ ball. All the rules, entry fees, dates, and other information is on our website. Please check out our website at
We will use 2 gyms (our old high school gym and our brand new one). We will have 1 concession stand with the basic items. We will have officials that call what needs to be called for elementary students.
We are beginning this league to benefit the athletes by giving them more playing time and experience. The more experience an athlete has, the more they learn, and the better they get. We want them to get better and have a good time playing basketball!! Shattuck has great administration, facilities, and students. We want everyone to enjoy the athletes playing basketball in Shattuck next winter.
